The axle holes go straight through on both sides. 1984-1999 FXST calipers are needed for these sliders. *NOTE: Requires installer to fabricate correct axle. Drain assembly lube. We recommend 20 weight oil for average conditions. The amount of fork oil per leg is 10.2 ounces. Factory sample are brand new pre-production parts but have imperfections in the finished surface. Check threaded and bearing holes for excess plating before installation. There are no physical defects  such as cracks or holes  there will be cosmetic imperfections only.
