Factory sample is a brand new pre-production parts but may have imperfections on the finished surface. Check threaded and bearing holes for excess plating before installation. There are no physical defects such as cracks or holes there will be cosmetic imperfections only. Sample parts may show marks from installation test and fitment. The pits voids and marks will show up in the final finish but do not affect fitment or use on primary covers fork legs rocker box covers cam covers kicker or sprocket covers.
