Factory sample is a brand new production part but may have imperfections in the finished surface. Check threaded and bearing holes for excess plating before installation. There are no physical defects such as cracks or holes there will be cosmetic imperfections only. Sample parts may show marks from installation test and fitment. Must order gasket separately. *NOTE: Lower edge has welding marks and pits where cross fit for the oil passage is closed for oil circulation. These are part of the manufacturing process and not a defect in the cover.
