Factory Sample 2 inch Stretch 5.5 Gallon Gas Tank
Block off plate required for use with carburetor type models. Requires sanding and primer before painting. The fuel line fitting as well as the petcock fitting should be masked or plugged during painting for easy installation of either petcock or fuel line. The back of the tank is stretched 2 inch and does not affect the mounts. Tank shows a welded seam for rear stretch extension. It is suggested to pressure test and use a tank sealer. We suggest using Kreem gas tank combo kit to clean condition and seal to help stop leaks and prevent corrosion. Factory sample cover are brand new pre-production parts but have imperfections in the finished surface. Check threaded and bearing holes for excess plating before installation. There are no physical defects such as cracks or holes there will be cosmetic imperfections only. Sample parts may show marks from installation test and fitment.
