Overhead Valve 32E Panhead 12 Volt Alternator Kit

*NOTE: Must order mount bolts and mount screws as required separately. Mounting flange mount holes are for 1/4 inch-24 or 5/16 inch-24 mount screws. The generator/alternator body is drilled for 1/4 inch-242 and 5/16 inchx24 mounting. Order correct screws from master list. *NOTE: It is recommended that holes pre-1958 FL and G models be enlarged to 5/16 inch to accept the larger screws. As the 2-brush type generators and the 32E alternators do not use a strap. *NOTE: Can be installed on 1958-1969 FL or 1958-1985 XL models using 5/16 inch mount screws. Alternator unit includes a chrome end cover there's a black restoration type available separately. *NOTE: The finned regulator will have to be relocated from position of original relay on the right of the cam cover. *NOTE: 32E alternator kit can be fitted with 1/4 x 24 screws generator strap and shim kit for the original look! Replaces 1936-1957 3 brush and 1958-1969 2 brush generators.
Tech Notes: Produces 3 amp @ 750 RPM's. Produces 5 amp @ 1 000 RPM's. Produces 7.8 amp @ 2 000 RPM's. Produces 8.5 amp @ 3 000 RPM's. Produces 8.9 amp @ 4 000 RPM's. Suggested to use with #42-0438 Black Generator 3-Brush End Cover.
