WR 45 inch 2.5 Gallon Gas Tank Set

Does not accept reserve fuel shut off rod or instrument dash panel assemblies. Both sides are intended for gas but can be refitted to use gas on the left and oil on the right. This application required oil feed vent and return lines and oil return pipe kit available separately. Right side for oil will require oil a stand pipe with 3/8 inch NPT outside and 1/4 inch NPT inside thread. Pipe extension must be within 1/2 inch top of the tank. The nipples on the tank measures 3/8 inch Fittings in the bottom of the tank are 1/8 inch NPT for use with gas petcocks or fittings. *NOTE: Order mount kit 1936-46 shift gate and related plugs and caps separately. Before installation or painting check gas tank for any flaws. Do not grind or sand seams or welded joints. Clean the inside of the tank and pressure test. Check petcock openings ensuring petcock can be easily installed. Use proper hardware for the installation process. Please install tank with fittings in frame with motor installed before painting.

Tech Notes: WR style gas tank set may require installer to indent bottom of the tank for head or other clearances required. Suggested to use with #38-0973 Tank Mount Tab Set Raw if builder wants to update to rubber mounted tanks. Original tabs must be removed and new ones welded in place. Suggested to use with #40-0689 WR Oil Line Kit. *CAUTION: Before painting or fitting check seam welds for stress marks or possible flaws that would allow tanks to leak.
